About Tillman Academy
Projected to open in 2021, Tillman Academy is designed with a classical curriculum and emphasizes the development of leadership, character and civic virtue.
Tillman Academy is named in honor of Pat Tillman, a star scholar-athlete and leader of character. In response to the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, he resigned his promising pro-football career to join the Army and serve his country. Pat’s legacy inspires others to passionately pursue lifelong learning and achieve their full potential.
Our classical curriculum engages, elevates and inspires students to achieve their full human potential.
The integration of classical works and modern educational practices prepares students for the 21stcentury by teaching them the good, the true and the beautiful.
Our Leadership Development Program unlocks each student’s leadership potential through study and practice.
Students learn vital skills to prepare them for all aspects of life, including how to succeed as an individual and as a member of a team.
Students at Tillman Academy learn the elements of character through immersion in the Great Books and studies of historical and contemporary examples.
As students hone their character strengths each day, our teachers and faculty support them by providing guidance, example and feedback.
Our civics curriculum emphasizes the history of western civilization as well as the origin of the American system of government and its importance in the 21st century.
A culture that promotes civic virtue helps students apply their individual character strengths to their responsibilities as members of the community.
